Have you ever felt so nervous that you feel like your insides are about to explode with the power of a thousand suns but when what you were so nervous about occurs it's like someone took the 50 monkeys riding on your back off and removed the 50 million butterflies in your stomach? That's sort of how I would describe today, except not really. I don't think there is anyway to actually describe it. It was the first time my parents met Chad and it was extremely important to me that everything went well. It's the most nervous I've ever felt having someone meet my family, but I'm fairly certain that's because the guys who have met them in the past did not mean as much to me as he does.
I will say now that I think everything went well. Everyone appeared happy and full by the end of it. At least no one has sad anything negative to me, and I would hope someone would mention something to me at the very least.
We had Jucy Lucy's from Matt's Bar. I wanted to give my family a chance to compare what they could remember from when they tried the Jucy Lucy at the 5-8 Club. It had been a long time since they had first tried them but my Dad thought they had more cheese at Matt's Bar and I think I agree. I like both and will go back to either. I have to make sure I get Chad to the 5-8 Club so he can do his own comparison.
There was more than just food being eaten today on the menu. We tilled up my garden spot and it looks like I've got some good soil. I'm looking forward to it. I have a couple stalks of already started corn and tomatoes. Then I'm going to try to plant from seed. I haven't decided what I'm going to put in yet but tomorrow morning we will be out there 'farming' away. I'll have to get a picture of my knew wide brimmed gardening hat too.
I best be getting to bed so I'm ready to attack the day tomorrow.
Goodnight!
