June 1st, 2012: Stupid Construction!!!

Welcome to June!  When did that happen?

I spent my day fussing over my blog for a bit trying to edit it.  I'm really annoyed by how it looks and the lack of ability to make a second page for other content besides my daily blog.  If anyone wants to offer up some free advice I'd be grateful.  I'll pay in high fives and possibly brownies if you live in my area.

Other than fussing about that I had a fun time hanging out with my friend Anna and her doggy Tig.  She was also doggy sitting a corgi named Finley (I'm guessing on that spelling).  It was a little puppy party.  I wish I would have got some pictures of all of them but I never got around to it.

We spent the night eating pizza, drinking Dr. Pepper, and watching some pretty obscure movies on Netflix.  They were really strange and I'm not even sure ones that I would recommend.  One of them was based on a book but I really hope that the book is a better read than the movie, although I wouldn't probably read the book now either.  It was super hard to follow and bizarre.  If you are really curious about it personally ask me and I might tell you.  It will depends on your taste in movies.  They weren't for everyone.

After watching some movies I didn't expect to have any trouble getting home, but I was wrong!  I ran into what construction guys think is a fun time; closing off main highways.  I had no idea how to get home without taking that route so I spent a much longer time driving around trying to find my way to a main highway I know.  I kept trying to get back on the same one but all ramps I tried were closed.  Eventually I woke Chad up to try to get help from him, but mostly so I didn't freak out at being trapped in the city.  I felt bad waking him up but I thought it was better than the alternative; me crying like a wussy and driving in panicky circles.  I did make it home eventually in one piece.

Sadly no pictures today.  I didn't take any and I really don't feel like taking one of myself after that drive.  I just feel like going to bed.

Goodnight!
