Dearest Neighbors,

When you decide to move out it would be most kind of you to get ride of your own furniture.  Carrying this down a flight of stairs and then leaving it there is not how you do that.  Do you know what happens when you do that?  I carry it back up to your old apartment and put it outside your door so that the management will know you didn't clean up your mess.

You won't be missed.

Sincerely, Me

P.S. You weren't the best neighbors so I can't say I ever really liked you.

-----

It's nice that my neighbors have moved because they were kind of loud, and by kind of loud I mean really loud.  I think it was mostly when the kid was home and played video games obnoxiously loud.  Also I recall them yelling a few times.  They also weren't very good at cleaning up their junk.  I only knew that was their tv stand left down a flight of stairs because I had saw it in front of their door before I left for work.  It also didn't really surprise me that they did that because they have set their garbage outside their door before because they were too lazy to take it down the hall to put in the trash chute. Ah well.

They did get the last laugh against me though.  I was trying to sleep after work and I begin to hear this noise.  I couldn't really make it out in my room so I go out to the living room and it sounds like a fire alarm, but it doesn't sound like the main buildings fire alarm.  I got dressed anyway and stopped at the office to make sure something wasn't wrong, and they informed me something was wrong with it.  My thoughts were that they sabotaged it before they left! (Probably not but it could happen)

Oh, and I asked why she didn't just take the batteries out of it and her excuse was she couldn't reach.  (The owner lady in the office that is)  I was like ...seriously?  Get a stool or something. Isn't a fire alarm going off kind of disruptive to the rest of your building?  Wouldn't you want it to not be loud and obnoxious?  Whatever.

Bet you can't guess what I'm making. Hehe.  (And to those that can or are able to read what I wrote on a certain person's facebook shall not use that as a way to cheat and tell the world what I'm making!)  And yes, that is spider man material. : )

My Saturday was mostly spent laying around the apartment and cutting out my pattern for what I'm making.  I'm hoping it cut out alright because I had to lay it out on the carpeted floor to cut it out.  I'm used to laying out patterns on hard flat surfaces.  Plus the fabric kind of stuck to the carpet a bit, so it made it kind of hard to cut out. I guess after this project I will know better for the next one.

I haven't figured out where I am going to set up my sewing machine still.  The desk I plan on using is still covered in papers and what nots, so I have to clean that off before I can even set up my machine.

I'm excited to work on it though.  It will be something to distract me from the fact that my hours have been seriously cut at work lately.  Paying my bills is going to be so much fun this month, and probably next month too. (This month being February since January is almost over)

P.S. January is almost over?! Quick month I guess...just feels like it was 2010 a few days ago. Crazy.

January 28th, 2011

I did a ton today and I'm going to attempt to remember everything! Haha.

I will start with the beginning.  I started my day picking up a few things I couldn't the day before and then going to find breakfast.  I had to call my mom and ask her what the name of the place she had seen on tv was again and googled that.  On the way there we made a pit stop at a place called Jackon's (I think) for some tea.  This pit stop will be good to remember later in my day.

So I made my way to the cafe my mother spoke of.  The name of the place is Colassal Cafe if you so desire to seek it out. (Which I recommend) Once we had found parking on a side street I realized I didn't have my phone on me any more.  After a brief freak out I decided it must be back somewhere where I parked to go to Jackson's.  See, told you that we would visit that place again. Luckily it was sitting on top of some slushy snow and also luckily not run over by a car.  I kept a tight grip on my phone the rest of the day.

Now lets get back to the cafe!  Food was really good.  Before I get to the food, let me just explain how tiny the inside of this place was.  There was a total of four tables in there, one four person table and two, two person tables.  There is also a breakfast bar type thing to sit at with five stools.  Tiny tiny place, but I think it it is worth it.

I had a ham, hashbrown, and swiss omelette. The two slices of toast that came with it I'm pretty sure were homemade.  I got some things they called flips.  It is basically a thin piece of cake with whipped cream and strawberries on top.  It was good but I think too much whipped cream.  The cake was the best part in my opinion.

Oh an the proof for my mother that it was indeed featured on tv.  It was on the show Dine-in, drive-in, and dives (I think that is right, too lazy to make sure.)

I went a bunch of places after the foods, but I've decided not as important as the purchase I got with my christmas money.  I got me a sewing machine!! I'm super excited to sew some things.  I will give some hints on what I'm going to be sewing.   First hint, super heroes are involved.

Short in hours at work means more spending time out in the day light for me.  (Not going to dwell on the fact that I'm making less at the moment...just going to try to enjoy the free time...)

What did I do with my day light hours?!  Went and had Indian food again. I've only had Indian food one other time and this time it was just as tasty.  I really like the flowers they had one the table.  I'm not sure what they are, but it's kind of nice to see flowers in the middle of winter.

I however was super tired because I had stayed up after work running errands afterwards and having foods.  I think I crawled into bed around saaaay, 3ish I think. I think I was up later than that but I can't remember.

I just know that I was tiiiired, but I think my sleep schedule is changing to me staying up in the morning after work instead of waking up and doing things during the afternoon.  Kind of strange being up during the day instead of late afternoon.  I think I might prefer it because I actually get to see some daylight, but I'm not sure yet.  I'll have to go back to waking up in the afternoon because I'll be starting work on a show soon.  At least I hope I will starting work on it soon.  Kind of hard to do that without information.  We shall see I suppose.

January 26th, 2011

Wednesday.  Oh Wednesday.  What did you have in store for me?

Free pie of course!  At the one and only Baker's Square! (Well it is a branch so there is more than one place, but still..)  I had some tasty foods and what nots.

I had a funtastic time at work.  All that fun time shenanigans and what nots.

Then I made chocolate chip pancakes after work. : )  The picture doesn't really do them justice because I had already ate the good looking ones.  The first couple I make always look weird but then the rest usually look normal.  Haha.

This is a super short and meh post because I had router issues still and was not able to post this until now...so I have kind of forgotten what had happened the day.  Oh welllllls.

January 25th, 2011

I spent most of my morning on the phone making a ton of phone calls I have been putting off for weeks.  Technically the first one I actually talked someone through their online support chat box thingy.  That was amusing in its own right though.

The person was basically copy and pasting everything they typed to me.  I even called them out and had asked them if they were copy and pasting everything and they replied "somethings yes", aka yes, yes I am.  I mean is it really hard for someone to type to me?  I wish I had saved the conversation so I could have just 'copy and pasted' it. :P

After that fantastic conversation I went on to a much more interesting and useful one about some 401k business.  I didn't quiet understand how it all works so I had to call and get somethings clarified and cleared up for me about it.  I think I understand what is going on with it but I have to decide where I want to move it or if I want to at all.  No use having a 401k that isn't making money, right?

Then my last phone conversation I had was stupid and annoying.  I was just trying to refill my birth control but noooo that's can't be simple.  I called the place I usually go to and they reply "Oh we don't have that kind anymore you need to go somewhere else".  Fantastic.

So I call another location and because I wanted to do a switch on what kind I was getting the person had to talk to someone else and put me on hold.  Long story short me getting put on hold some how after so long sent me to their voice mail and hung up on me.  Super Fantastic.

I call back, it happens again.  I call back a third time and I'm pretty much fed up with the situation and get put on hold once more. I laid in bed thinking to myself "oh please don't let me go to that voice mail machine one more time..." To my delight and surprise the guy came back and told me it was all good and I could make my order for the birth control.  Wonderful-tastic.

Thus, my morning of making phone calls ended.  I really hate phone calls.  Sometimes I prefer when I can do an online chat but sometimes even those can be as bad as a phone call.  At least I didn't have to call about my router again!  As much as I enjoy calling India about my router and talking to nice and not so nice Indian ladies, I think I will keep my router working.

January 24th, 2011

Mrrrgh! Why does my body not want to go to bed, but then when I have to get up I don't want to wake up? It's a vicious cycle I tell yah.

Because I could not get to sleep before noon I thusly did not wake up until around 9 pm... Sooo, I pretty much rolled out of bed and went to work.

Oh, wait. I can't forget that I had to fight my router again in the morning.  I'm honestly on the verge of throwing it against a wall or something, but I think I finally have it fixed now. Lets hope so.

Argh.  Not motivation these days. I need to go make a bunch of calls that I have been putting off far too long.

January 23rd, 2011

Sorry for the blurriness, but it is hard to hold you hand steady with a cell phone camera.

This post is so stinking late for sunday because of internet issues.  Thus the picture of my stupid router.  I have been have troubles with it connecting for the past few days.  I hate the thing.  If it continues I'm gonna call up Belkin and give them some words.

Other than the stupidness of my router I had a pretty uneventful sunday.  I slept most of it and watched a bunch of netflix, and don't forget I screwed up my sleep schedule  by staying up waaaay to late.  I'm sure this will come back to bite me in the butt.

Work was work.  The end.  That's my day.

January 22nd, 2011

Can't help it when you have those cravings for sushi.  Mmm.  I went to Osaka Sushi and Hibachi to fill that craving.  I sat in just the regular restaurant part because it would have been a half hour wait to go in the Hibachi side.  Someday I'll have to go back and see that side because I've never seen one before.  (For those who don't know, Hibachi is the kind where they cook in front of you and what not.)

It was pretty decent food.  I shared a California roll and a Yum yum roll.  The California roll was meh, and the yum yum roll was pretty tasty.  Oh, I also got some edamame for an appetizer...even though it came at the same time as our food. I think my favorite part of the meal was the mango mochi ice cream.  It was tasty and I have had some not so tasty experiences with mochi. I'm glad I risked it. I didn't get a picture of it because I was more concerned with consuming it. Haha.

All in all Osaka sushi and hibachi was decent as far as food but service was slower than molasses.  So I would give it a 6 out of 10.

After foods I saw Due Date finally at the cheap theatre.  It was amusing.  Got some chuckles.  Enjoyed myself and what nots.  Pretty good day for sleeping a majority of it.

January 21st, 2011

When I was typing the title I almost typed "21sth"... Alright I typed it, but then immediately thought to myself "wait a second...that doesn't look right... oops"  I thought about leaving it that way to see if anyone would notice. >.> <.<

So, this was an interesting day!  It sent me through many moods that is for sure.  Lets just start off at the beginning.  I'll show you a picture and then I will explain to you how that face and or picture had to deal with my day.

Alright, so my cars brake light went off again today.  Not sure if I mentioned yesterday that it did as well.  I figure, ok well I don't want to crash and die due to something up with my brakes so I take it in.  I went to Midas because I saw they had a sign for a free brake check.  I'm all for the free! Plus, I have no idea what would be up with my car.

The guy that ran the place was really nice.  Giving crap and making jokes and what not.  He claimed he wasn't gonna have the guys sell me anything I didn't need, and yeah I'm sure that is a line you hear at most places...but I believed him.  I guess he didn't in the end, but lets just say he did sell me something by the end of it...even though my brakes end up being fine.
Insert this face here in the story.  Why would I make such a face when my brakes are fine?  Because his guy found some other things wrong with my car. Of. Course. He. Did. So he rambled off a bunch of auto lingo at me that I couldn't for the life of me repeat and took some things off the bill that he said I didn't need. (Hey look, not selling me what I don't need...) So in the end I was just paying to fix some part by my wheels and some part that keeps the antifreeze from leaking into places it shouldn't. (I honestly have no idea what they are called...)

Bet you can't guess how much I have to pay! Well I'll tell you. A whopping 1,450 and that's after he dropped the original price by about 200 dollars.  However, he did have a nice payment plan with no interest for 6 months.  So, guess I'll be saving up my hard earned monies so I can pay that back in a timely matter.

He said the car would be done around 3pm. (Pfft)

Sooooo, my ride for the day while I had no car took me to the Minnesota Zoo to see all the stuff inside because it was also a ridiculously cold day outside.  I took a picture on this turtle to match my picture I took at the como zoo because they had a turtle just like it.

Zoo was pretty sweet and upped my mood.  I mean just look at this sweet plant...wait a minute...that isn't a plant! It's a friggin' sea dragon! Those things were pretty awesome.  No lies. Despite there not being much open at the zoo it was pretty fun.  Plus it was free because we got some of those nifty free tickets from the library. : )

After the zoo I had some tasty chinese and  wasn't able to get my car home until after 5 pm. Oh and I guess I forgot to mention I had to stay up all day after I worked the night before...so when I got to bed finally I had been up for probably 24 hours...Woo.

P.S. If you look closely this alligator has a leaf on his head.  I'm sure he is laughing to himself thinking "I has this leaf on my head. They cants sees me."

January 20th, 2011

I has a ticket to Cirque du soliel!!!! *Squees like a fangirl* I love Cirque so much. It's kind of my birthday present to myself because the show opens shortly after my birthday.  I'm so freaking excited.  I had to make sure I got my tickets pre-sale because I was worried about them selling out.

I'm pretty sure that was the only exciting part of my day.  I had a regular day of work and didn't really have anything exciting happen.

I'm just so freaking excited for Cirque!!! I can't even begin to tell you how much I love the work they do.  I want to work for them.  A good step in that direction would be to learn french. Haha.

January 19th, 2011

Flannel/Plaid day at work!  Well, a few of us who always work together decided to wear flannel today.  I had to go buy some off our clearance racks because I don't own any flannel.  I think I have a short of blue plaid type shirt but I didn't think it would really work for the theme.

Plus, I feel like a lumber jack in this shirt.  Don't I just look like I'm ready to chop down a tree and what not? I however did not sport the braids to work.  I decided that they would get far too annoying while working.

Besides having fun at work finding ways to amuse ourselves, my day was pretty average. Work was work, and stuff was stuff.

I did enjoy my weekly free pie at Baker's Square.  I also enjoyed some grown up grilled cheese sandwich that they have.  Mmm tasty.  Now I'm hungry...fantastic...

January 18th, 2011

Hat day!  At work we decided to make it a themed work day.  If you didn't figure it out, the theme was hat day.  I originally wanted to wear my white squirrel hat, but I had forgot to look for it before work.  So I ended up wearing my froggy hat and I'm not made about because I like my frog hat, but I wanted to find that other hat.

I tried to find my squirrel hat after work but I haven't been able to find it.  I'm guessing it is someplace buried in my closet.  At least, that is where I assume it is.  That or some place lost in my mess of a room.

Speaking of my room.  It is rather strange how fast it gets messy again after I clean it.  I cleaned it the beginning of this month and it's already pretty messy.  Well, it has been far messier than it is right at this moment. It would be nice to be able to find everything once and a while, right?

January 17th, 2011

Prepare to have your eyes assaulted by a mass of pictures today!  I'm totally not trying to be vain. (How can I not be vain, I'm posting a picture everyday, haha :P)  I just decided to take pictures while playing the dance game for Kinect.  It was pretty fun, but I will admit Just Dance by Lady Gaga had this one move that I just could not get every time I tried it.

So before I just go into my couple of captioned pictures of my dance fest I shall just say how my day went overall.  Decent day as far as life is concerned.  I had an alright time at work.  Things didn't really get done as quickly as they should but I can say my share got done.   Ah well.  Lets move on to the dance pictures! (I've kept up with my dance everyday new years resolution, how are everyone else's resolutions going?)

TIME TO DANCE!

 I think I'm dancing...

During the dance they always give you a free style part and I never know what to do besides dance like a robot....

 I crank'd that superman boy...wait, what?

I would just like to say that I didn't say I could dance well...just that I will dance everyday :P

 I'm so special. XD

And superstar finish.  Totally rocked it. :P

January 16th, 2011

I finally got my Kinect set up.  It only took me a few weeks to do it.  I got it for Christmas and just never bothered to set it up.  I'm sure it was because my xbox was set up in my bedroom and not in the living room.  I can't really play it in my bedroom due to lack of space.  Maybe I will start working out to my kinect games.

Nothing else too eventful for my day.  Did some laundry, and went to work.  Oh, I almost forgot!  I also had some terrible Denny's food today.  I don't know what the cook's deal was but he over cooked my ham steak thing, and my turkey bacon.  He also over cooked the orange cranberry pancakes I decided to try out.  Oh, and worst of all we ordered the ginger bread pancake puppies to try those and there wasn't any white chocolate chips in it.  I only wanted to try them simply for those chocolate chips.  Moral of the story is, don't go to that Denny's, ever again.

January 15th, 2011

I seem to find myself playing a large quantity of games lately.  Well, not extremely large.  Just on a day to day basis.  I have found this online game that kind of reminds me of my old World of warcraft days but more childish.  It's called Wizard 101.  Kind of amusing if you like to play questing and turn based style games.

It's amusing for the time being. It tricks you though.  It gets you to play but then as you are going along and questing you find out, oh hey, if you wanna go in this area you need to pay! I was like "pssh, no". I still have some content that is free and until I run out of that I'm not going to pay, and most likely  won't pay for it ever.

Anyways.  Lazy saturday.  I can't wait to get some theatre work on the side so I'm not just laying around on my days off with nothing to really do.  More theatre work, please. : )

January 14th, 2011

YAWWWNNN!

I can honestly say I spent probably 90 percent of my day in bed today.  Why you ask?  Quiet simply, because I could.  I didn't have anything I need to accomplish.  So I slept in super late.  I won't even tell you how late I slept because it was a disgustingly huge amount.

When I was awake I accomplished a few things I guess. I stumbledupon a few neat flash games and other things.  Probably the most interesting site I found was this one. http://www.stumbleupon.com/su/1e4Lpk/www.casualgirlgamer.com/articles/entry/22/Ten-games-that-make-you-think-about-life/

The games themselves were pretty unique.  One of the games tricks you into reading things.  Tricky tricksters!

I think I liked it so much because I have restless legs myself.  I can't even comprehend how long that would have taken to set up.  I think I'm going to watch it one more time just to see what all they had to do. Haha.

January 13th, 2011

Dinner for breakfast.  That's how I roll.

I got a roast at Cub foods after work (aka this morning) and decided to make it in the crock pot.  So I cut up some tasty carrots, potatoes, and onions and threw them into the crock pot with the meat.  I had to cut off some of the meat and freeze it because it wouldn't fit in the pot if I didn't.  I think it was a success but I feel like the meat could have been juicer.  Maybe I should have tenderized it?  I'm just now trying to develop my more advanced cooking skills. Haha.  You can really only live off of ramen and frozen meals for so long, right?  I don't want to be the kind of woman who can't cook.

With the roast we had romaine lettuce with a poppyseed dressing.  Some tasty big rolls we dipped into some olive oil that had been seasoned.  My mother gave me a gift for Christmas that had four trays (seen in photo) and four seasonings (far right of photo).  You add the seasoning to olive oil and you dip your bread in it.  I'm pretty sure I've had this at a restaurant before.  It was pretty tasty.  I think the Tuscany blend was my favorite out of the four, but I'm not sure.  Made me feel all fancy with my olive oil dips.

Besides having tasty food today I also got to see my friend Sarah.  (Who I think I need to see at least once a month if we weren't both so busy.)  Watched some Jersey Shore with her and Kelsey.  I don't even think I need to say anything about that show. Haha.

I ended my evening with seeing The Green Hornet 3D at midnight.  Partly because we decided to see a movie late in the evening and not much for options left after ten pm.  It was one of those movies I really don't understand why they made it in 3D because there was hardly anything 3D about it.  Oh well.  Just charging us more money for movies that are "3D" and not really necessary.  Working the system I guess. Not really into 3D movies in the first place.

Oh well.  Still a great day anyway. Oh and Happy 18th birthday to my little brother! (I'm so old now!)

January 12th, 2011

I have mukluks now! Well slipper mukluks.  Lukees brand I think.  They are super soft inside.  Only 30 percent off but still worth it.  The bottom of the shoe is like walking on a pillow. I guess I found some new slippers.  My boat slippers last me a long time despite being made for children. Haha.

I also bought a vest for The Vest Day ever at work. A bunch of us bought these vest that were 75% off and wore them at work today.  It was a pretty amusing night.  It's nice to now be out of the seasonal holiday season because everyone doesn't seem to be as stressed out about things.  Our workload has greatly lessoned so it that is nice.  I mean we still have things we are worried about getting done, but not as much before. I think our leaders are getting somewhat better at allowing us to enjoy ourselves while we work, but I don't wanna jinx it!

I bought some food after work.  Got some tasty food plans for tomorrow.  I'll let you know how that goes. : )

Oh I almost forgot! I made a bubble dress at work! I was going to show a picture of it, but the person who took the picture didn't put them up on the internets yet.  Maybe tomorrow you will get to see my bubble wrap dress of awesomeness.

January 11th, 2011

I tried a place called Eddington's today.  They are mainly known for their soups, but I also got a sandwich to go with my cup of soup.  I got the kind that was called boundary waters wild rice, I believe.  It was really good.  I sampled a few of the other soups from Erik's bottomless bowl deal they have.  Apparently if you get that you can go up as many times as you want and refill your bowl, and you don't even have to get the same kind!  Definitely worth revisiting sometime when I'm feeling the urge for some good soup.

Work would have been good except for the part where I cried.  Now now, don't get too worked up over me crying; it is just the reaction you usually give when hit in the face with something.  My side of the story is: I threw a box down in front of a guy at work and instead of just letting it hit the ground he kicked it back to me and it flew up and hit me in the face.  Ok, so that isn't really much to cry about, but the part that hit me was the sharp corner and it took a tiny chunk out of my forehead and bled a little bit.  He is trying to give the whole "self defense" excuse but I'm almost positive the box wouldn't have hit him, and if it did it would have been his foot or leg...not his face...but what can I except from the guy who threw a case of water at me before.

Other than the box to the face I think my day went pretty well. Nothing strange happened at 1.11.11 11:11:11 for me lol.  I didn't even really notice that it was until a friend had texted me that.  I guess that is exciting. I suppose. Haha.

January 10th, 2011

I need to get some groceries.  I haven't got much for options to eat in my apartment.  I didn't really realize how little I had before I left for home because I was too busy to eat at home.  Now I just have to find the space for more food in our tiny kitchen.

It was one of those days where I just didn't want to make anything either.  So trying to come up with a list of what to buy didn't come to me.  Hard to make a grocery list when you aren't hungry, but then again it's hard to make one when you are because everything sounds good.

Work went well today, except for the whole multiple headaches throughout the night and a stomach ache towards the end.  I keep getting these headaches that feel like the start from the back of my head and then shoot up into the middle of my forehead.  No idea what is causing this either.  I can't remember when they started either.  I'm broken.

My not feeling so well after work was why it took me so long to post about my day.  I decided to try to get to sleep right afterwards in hopes it would make me feel better. Lets hope it works.

January 9th, 2011

I had a great day with friends.  Long day for me, but It was worth staying up to see them.

My friend Nicole had never been to the mall of america so we took her there to let her experience it.  We walked around the entire thing.  Every. Single. Floor. My feet started to kill me towards the end of the day, but kinda understandable right?

We did some casual shopping and found some interesting items in stores.  My favorite thing I found was this game.

I mean, this is pretty much the most awesome game ever.  It includes both a childhood favorite board game and a favorite TV show as well.  I wanted to buy it but I decided to not get it.  I was so close to getting it though.

We also went to the aquarium in the mall.  I always like taking pictures of the Jelly fish.

The strange part was the aquarium was kind of remodeling at the same time as they were opening.  So they had areas closed off and also we went through the aquarium backwards from the last time I went through.  I also noticed that didn't have their moving walk ways anymore.  It was kind of unusual..  I'm not sure if they are getting better equipment or having to replace things, but all I know is it was definitely a different experience than the last time I was there.

Great day even with its tiny mishaps of trying to figure out where to eat, listening to girls sing justin bieber(sp?) over and over (explained below), and not being able to be found in the mall even though we didn't move from our bench.

The girls singing Justin bieber was a contest to go see his movie or something. Also, I totally forgot about how we played a prank on the employee working at the store across from the bench we were sitting at.  We kept playing the sound of phone ringing and he kept going to see if the phone was ringing until he finally caught on.  It was pretty amusing.

January 8th, 2011

It's kind of hard to tell what this picture is of exactly, but I shall explain.  It is a show I was watching on netflix projected upon my wall. I have spent a large amount of time either playing video games or watching movies on this projector and I was just kind of tired of it today.  The roar of the projector fan gets kinda annoying after awhile.

So thusly, I didn't really want to play games or watch movies today, but what else is there to do?  Not very much really.  I should have probably been productive by doing laundry or something but I just had no motivation to do anything the whole day.

Then I received a text from some friends who were in the area and I didn't know about.  I met up with them at the 5-8 club to introduce them to a local tasty, the jucy lucy. I think they liked it. Afterwards I took one of them to meet up with an old friend of theirs for some chit chat and drinks.

It was a pretty good day after I finally had something to do.  I saw some photos on a friends facebook about their sewing they have been doing and it made me jealous that I don't have a sewing machine.  I bet if I had one I might do a bit of sewing now and again when I don't want to kill my brain cells with video games.  I just don't know if I want to spend the money on one right now.  Plus, I'm not really sure what a decent one would be.  I dunno.  Something for me to think about.

I saw this bag in Barnes and Noble and it made me think of quite a few friends.  My first instinct was to actually send it via text message to my friend Jenny, but then I was reminded of many other friends that it would be more than fitting for.  So, I settled to put it as my picture of the day and leave it for anyone who thinks it applies to let it apply. Haha.

It was a pretty laid back friday night.  I enjoyed some Pei Wei before seeing a movie.  I usually get the same thing at certain places, like Pei wei, but this time I wanted to try something different.  I got the Vietnamese chicken salad rolls.  They were not anything fantastic though.  My mouth hasn't ever really been impressed with Vietnamese food.  Maybe I'm just not picking their best options.

The movie I went to was True Grit and I'll admit that I had no idea that it was originally a John Wayne movie remade.  I'm sure I have seen some of the original then and I just completely forgot it existed.  I'm kinda curious about the original.  The remake was really good though.  I enjoyed it.  I mean how can a girl born and raised in Montana not enjoy a western? Haha ok so I'm no where near being a cowgirl or anything like that but I can enjoy that style.

Now I need to make some plans for Saturday that involve some cleaning.  My laundry load is looking pretty massive. Oh, and I suppose I should try to pay some bills. Woo, I'm so excited...not.

The main thing I dislike about winter is how dry it makes my skin.  My hands are extremely dry from work, but even my entire body is dry.  Sometimes during the winter I wish I could just sit in a vat of lotion and let my skin absorb it.  I put some lotion on my hands today and it took about two seconds to absorb completely, and I felt like I could have added more to my hands and it would have absorbed that too.

Other than feeling like I'm drying up into a prune; I really like winter.  Snow is pretty and I like to play in it.  Plus, I don't really have allergies in the winter; which is a plus. : )

Oh, so I moved my stuff in my room around a bit.  Not too much.  I just moved the dresser so it is next to my bed instead of on the other wall.  I needed someplace to put my cheap projector.  That projector is neat and all but it doesn't like to focus too well, but it works fine for watching netflix on because you don't have to be able to read anything.  Playing video games is a little bit harder on it because you can't really make out what some things are.  Oh well.  I got it for super cheap, so I won't complain.

Um, I lost track of what I was gonna say so I'll just end this post. Haha. Lets just leave it with it was a pretty good day.  Even though I think I ate too many oranges.  Oops?

Om nom nom nom.  Baker's Square = free pie Wednesday.  I haven't had free pie for weeks now.  It felt like forever.  (Anyone not familiar with free pie Wednesday; you get a free slice with any purchase of foods at Baker's Square)

It's pretty neat that I have gone so many times that my favorite server recognizes me and knows what I want to drink.  I'll just put it out there, Tracy is the best server at baker's square; well, at least the one I go to.  Nothing like the feeling of familiarity to go with your food.

I'll stop gushing over my server now.  Night at work went well.  No complaints so far. I'm having a pretty great 2011 so far.  Lets keep this positivity streak going.  I have looked back at my posts for last year and I'm definitely doing a lot better this year than I was last year.  Good to know I haven't regressed. Haha.

I'm also considering maybe doing some videos of me doing a dance of some sort as a sort of proof that I do dance.  I have successfully danced everyday so far.  It's really not that hard of a goal, but makes me actually realize how often I like to do jigs. (Insert jig as she publishes post)

Argh, I would have posted this before I went to bed but my internet was acting up.  I'm not even sure what was wrong with it but it just wouldn't let me on.  So! I opted to just type this up in the morning.

I had my first day back to working at the Big ol' Store of Red.  It was the same ol' same ol' as far as what I had to do.  Although I didn't really have to deal with the people I don't care for....so that was pleasant.  I suppose since this is public now and not just viewable to my facebook friends I should probably keep my talkings of work a bit vague for my sake.  Even though this year hasn't been bad so far, but hey I have only worked one day this year so far.  Lets see what tomorrow night brings!

After work I grab myself a dozen bagels from Bruegger's bagels. Om nom nom.  They are super tasty, but they were out of the new kind cinnamon crunch.  I wanted to try it, but I'll just have to get back another time. I bought some of their tasty honey walnut cream cheese though.  I love me some food.

That was my day in a pretty tiny nutshell I think.  Sorry for the super blurry image, but I'm not all that steady when trying to take a picture of myself with my phone.

This is why I do not fall asleep with my hair wet in a towel.  This is even after I brushed it... I guess I'm gonna have a bad hair day today! Oh well.

I went to IHOP today for breakfast and because I was starving when I got there my stomach was telling me I was hungry enough for the all you can eat pancakes meal...I was not that hungry.  I don't even think I finished the ham, eggs, and hashbrowns that came with it; let alone the pancakes.  Plus side is I had leftovers. Yay for second meal!

I put a pretty big dent in my cleaning my bedroom today.  I still have a long way to go before I have it to the standards I want it to be.  Kinda bad when you realize your bedroom is becoming a pit.  I can now see my floor though.  The hard part left is organizing all of the junk that has been put on top of my desk, dresser, bookshelf, and cardboard box fort.  (Yes I still have that cardboard box)  I'll definitely get a picture of my room once I have it all clean.

Tomorrow I really need to make sure I go buy some food.  I was gone for a week and now I don't really have any food.  Watching the cooking channel is definitely not helping because it is gonna make me want to buy everything when I get to the store. Haha.

2011 is looking much better than 2010 so far. : )

Time to travel!  Time at home with the family can only last so long these days.  I had a great week at home with my family and now have to head back.  I'm hoping that I won't have any hiccups with Delta this time. (Unlike when I flew into Montana.)

I'm glad I got to visit my Grandparents and other relatives before I headed out.  It is always nice to see everyone.  I can remember a time when every holiday season we would have a jammed packed house with people, good food, and great times.  However, now it is harder and harder to get together.  I've gotten older, as have they, and moved apart.  It was so much easier when everyone was together in the same town, but times change.  I think it just makes us cherish and enjoy the time we do get to spend together even more.

Back to the traveling! I had to fly out today to get back to Minnesota.  I didn't think the Billings, MT airport was going to be busy so we only arrived a little over an hour before my flight...boy were we wrong.  The place was packed!  I have never seen that airport so full of people.  I some how made it through the long wait to get my ticket and the even longer wait to get through security.  No delays and made it back to Minnesota in one piece, and with my luggage! (I'm still going to try to never fly Delta again though....)

So now I am home and reunited with my gerbil.  Sadly my apartment didn't magically clean itself so I have a challenge for myself tomorrow.  Especially since I want to move some furniture around in my bedroom. Dun dun dun!

January 1st, 2011

Welcome to a day in the life brought to you by me.  Last year I posted a picture and blurb everyday of the year. This year I'm doing it a bit different because I'll be putting them on this blog.  I'm hoping to branch out and possibly get more people interested in this idea.

I found it quiet helpful last year as a way to share how I was doing with the people around me, but at the same time I could be more in touch with myself.  It is very liberating to just lay out how you are doing everyday, the good, the bad, and the ugly.  I'm hoping this year I find to hold twice as many great stories and challenges.  I'm also hoping to not be terribly boring for anyone reading this.  Lastly, I hope that I can keep up the urge to do this daily.

It was my new years resolution last year to do it everyday, but this year I'm just keeping it going because I liked doing it.  My new years resolutions for this year are; to dance everyday in any form, and to get better organized with my personal files and whatnots.  I thought, might as well do a fun resolution for once instead of the usually 'lose weight' or other negative ones.

Why is it people always decided to do resolutions towards the things they think are wrong with them? I mean, sure you should probably fix some things but does that have to be the MAIN focus of the whole year?  Why not try to do something fun this year.  Like posting a picture everyday (haha) or dancing everyday ( :P) or even just making the time to read a book you enjoy everyday.  Lets stop making resolutions that take years to change or fix and concentrate on what we can do now.  Which is live.

Happy New Year everyone. Bring on 2011!

Please ignore my sleepy tired faceness.
