Dear Grandpa George,

Where do I even begin?  There is so much to say about you and so much I wish I could have said to you.  I think I'll just have to make it a combination of both.

First off there is no way I could come up with enough words to describe how incredible of a man you really are/were.  I may be a little biased being your granddaughter and all but you really were.  I can't even begin to count the amount of things you have built with your own hands.  For me alone I think you have built a beautiful desk, and headboard.  I can't count out the major hand you had in building my families house.

You are the hardest worker I have ever known. You have never stopped working on something, even as you got older.  Which also is probably connected to how stubborn you could be at times, but hey you passed that down to me through my father (and I wouldn't have it any other way).  I couldn't have asked for a better role model.  I don't think your four children, thirteen grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren (sorry if I got the count wrong) could have had a better influence in their lives.

All I can say is I'm so glad I had you in my life for 23 years and I doubt anyone else would disagree with me.
I hope you are resting in peace and enjoying the good life with Auntie Barb and anyone else who has gone before you.

There is so much more I wish I could say to you, but I'll end this with the most important thing of all.

I love you and will remember you fondly.  Rest in peace Grandpa.

Love,
Erin
